Ways to Achieve the Best UI Design

In above section, we have explored the most basic principles of user interface designing for web as well as mobile app development in responsive designing paradigm. Now, in this current section, we will see how we can use those principles of UI designing and achieve the robust yet functional UI in contemporary concepts.

By Keeping Consistency across the UIs

Our first ever job to ease the users to understand the visual language. Therefore, unorganized UI layouts and abrupt changes in designing or patterns of design across the application or website may distract users and induce confusions. Thus, keeping some consistency in all relevant UIs across the website or the application offer sense of familiarity and set some sorts of standards or say conventions that majority of users know before.

When your users will see that your UI design meets their expectations, they will have feeling of good relationships with your UI and let you covert them in your loyal customers. The best ways to keep consistency in design to obey rules of setting defaults where you need to set default design or values as much useful and practical as possible so your users won’t think of changing them at all.

By Navigating Users Smartly

Smooth screen transition is inevitable part of UX so navigating users from one screen to another should not give any frustration or force users to leave mid-way. What you need is to learn the bespoken ways of users how they work, and apply greater degree of flexibility to support their approaches.

The same is true for navigating users with an UI by knowing their preferences based on demography, geography, and culture. Developing UI-flow charts and diagrams may prove a good practice for developers. Today we have interactive and dynamic wireframe and prototyping tools to simulate our interactions and screen flows at greater degree.

Therefore, if you introduce any feature or functionality first time, you should take help of appropriate onboarding technique to guide your users in the most contemporary ways. If you don’t clarify that what you expect from your users through any screen element, they may not take advantage of your any advance and essential feature by themselves.

When you place any button or CTA with labels, try to add secondary texts to elaborate your expectations further. Labeling UI elements with strong, clear, concise, appealing, and effective language/words is greatly contributing habits or seasoned UI designers. Therefore, always avoid abbreviations or codes on labels of any UI element even though your target audience is tech-savvy or niche experts.

By Using Color Theory

Understand color theory given in this series and apply colors according to the culture and preferences of your targeted audience. Colors have highly emotional impacts on the users so grab vast audience by applying them judiciously.

By Using Contrast Psychology

Just like color theory, contrast psychology is highly effective weapon for designers to augment UI on web as well as on mobile platforms. Please refer the entire section devoted on contrasts in this series and use them to make decent and functional UI for your projects.

By Forgiving Design

We know humans are always error prone animal on the planet because we learn things through trial-and-error methods. Therefore, your UI design should have auto corrective or at least mistake correcting options or mechanism. Thus, your users can save themselves from big lose by just undo things done in wrong way and can modify actions for betterment.

We will keep these threads continue in next part of the series so wait please.
